For the instructional movie of the Trachospray, I made a storyboard. In this case, the storyboard was used to define the content for an instructional product movie. Some other examples storyboarding can be used for in design:
- Product use scenarios
- Showing which problems your target group encounters
- The use experience of your product/solution
For storyboards, simple sketches will do:
This storyboard was used to communicate my ideas with a creative agency (Brand Specials) who produced the movie. I found that storyboarding also helps with:
- Listing props you need for different scenes
- Timing the audio/text with the scenes
- Estimating the time required for shooting
